Shambo - Shiva Shambo
Despite the hue and cry from numerous animal welfare organizations in the UK, Shambo, the sacred bull infested with Bovine tuberculosis, was finally put down. Sadly a long battle that lasted for 5 months could not save the life of the animal.
If only people gave a thought about the numerous Shambos (with or without Bovine Tuberculosis) being slaughtered everyday for meat in India (or in UK for that matter).

there is nobody to blame though, it will continue until we eat meat :-), i assume the protests are more because Shambo is considered to be sacred..

Is this about vegetarianism or Shambo? I think the whole thing is stupid - there are people starving to death on the streets, farmers swallowing pesticide, acid assaults and dowry murders, and the only thing we manage to work up any sympathy about is a pampered cow! I wonder if anyone gives their servants half the concern these boobs have expressed about a sick and dangerous cow!?

@anonymous: exactly, I personally feel that the whole episode of Shambo is just a gimmick of pseudo animal lovers when there are billion other issues on planet earth to focus on...

however, in this context, my concern was more about the indian cows or treatments of animals like this in the third world countries.

This is painful for all of us. God knows when people would show kindness towards animals.
